With the increased requirements for ongoing inspection and maintenance in a range of fields our inspection team is dedicated to providing support to industries requiring urgent, intermediate or ongoing maintenance inspections. With the inspection task normally being completed by our ROV (Remotely Operated underwater Vehicle) this allows us to be on site with a minimal of equipment and comply with Health and Safety requirements. We are then able to inspect and record the information with minimal disturbance to the inspection area and record all inspection footage for further review by the client. In addition we are able to provide a commercial dive team to carry out any required maintenance tasks.
The inspection ROV can be used for a range of tasks due to its small size, approximately 300mm in length and 250mm diameter, along with High Definition camera clarity can complete tasks from open water inspections on sub surface structures, pylon and wharfs, reservoirs and tanks to internal pipe inspections. The ability to deploy quickly and safely with the backup of a full commercial dive company allows us to satisfy our clients’ needs efficiently and economically
Dermody Diving has created a unique form of Data storage and retrieval, designed specifically for inspections and data recording. IRIS (Infrastructure Recording Information System) allows all data collected from inspections to be uploaded to our secure server and presented in an easy to use visual display, allowing each asset to be isolated, and each inspection point within each asset presented separately. This information can consist of images, video footage, data sheets, documented works and comments, and also additional files such as auto cad diagrams that can be downloaded directly from the server. This information can be continually updated as work occurs on each asset, and can be accessed from any Internet connection with the relevant username and password. The database is extremely secure and has a triple redundant backup system providing an incredibly safe method of storing and updating your data. Each clients IRIS database can either be continually maintained by Dermody Diving and Marine Services for a nominal fee, or can be handed over to the client who can take ownership of the database.
